Aries

8 of Blades reversed

I thought at first glance this card was supposed to represent Eve, but this is actually a throwback to the pilot, to the tragedy of the woman in white. Upright, this card speaks about a woman who feels imprisoned and helpless in her own fate, chiefly at the hands of another. Reversed, however, talks more about how you are boxing yourself in, especially in your mindset. Have you been overly self-critical recently? Do you feel less confident than before? If we've grown up in less than supportive environments, we may become habituated to talking to ourselves with a harshness and a cruelty we'd never direct at another. We aren't as forgiving of ourselves as we'd be with others. This card is calling you to look at these kinds of thought patterns, as they only stunt and hurt us, both in the present and in the long run.

You've got two charms! The first, the bat, is a symbol of rebirth, and it is showing up in the "opportunity or blessings" square. Interestingly, the Anglo-Saxon rune you also got on the die, Ear, represents the soil of the Earth that we return to when we die. Without death, there is no rebirth. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. We come from the Earth and we return to it. Don't fight this rebirth. The die being off the board means you don't need to worry about it, as ominous as a death sounds (the concept of death is often not literal in divination). It speaks to renewal and positive change. There is a blessing on the other side of this.

Taurus

The Wheel of Fortune

This is a great card! The Wheel of Fortune means your luck is changing for the better. (And unlike the cursed rabbit's foot, it's not gonna turn bad on you.) It can represent good karma coming your way, that you've rightfully earned. In which case, enjoy, and be grateful! If you feel like you've been going through a rough patch, this may symbolize that you're currently having to clear out some negative karma on your path. Which sucks big time, I get it. It is a necessary evil. But the wheel is ever-turning, and what went down must also go up, and that includes your luck.

Three charms for my Taurean friends! Under "opportunity or blessing" we have the butterfly. The butterfly can symbolize positive personal transformation, and it can also symbolize communication. You may be hearing of an opportunity soon that can lead to wonderful growth. Interestingly, the sun charm appeared on "something you need to release." The sun can represent success, happiness, and manifestation, so to me this signifies you may need to release a vision of happiness or success in your life that is too specific. Be open to the universe leading you to happiness in other ways. Alternatively, if you're currently trying very hard to manifest something, you may need to emotionally detach a little. As paradoxical and frustrating as it might be, being a little too desperate (for lack of a better word) to make something happen can actually block your manifesting power.

Finally, we have the angel wing on the "not the right time" square. If you're needing to make a big decision and you're unsure of when to pull the trigger, ask your angels for a sign (and it helps to be specific). They can help you align with the divine timing of it all, to make things easier for you. You're never alone because your angels are always there and eager to help you.

Gemini

The Star reversed & the 8 of Blades

Two cards popped out for you, Gemini. How fitting. Let's start with Jack. He's so perfect to represent the hope, purity, and innocence of the Star card. Reversed, however, this may symbolize that you've experienced a disappointment recently. Courage, friend, and don't wallow in despair. Even reversed there is always hope.

The 8 of blades, represented here by the specter of the woman in white, can indicate feeling trapped, disempowered, or stuck in a victim mindset. Learned helplessness is a very real thing, and it can cripple us without us even being aware. This card says you have more control over your situation than you think you do, but you have to take responsibility for your part in it first. Your freedom lies in a one-two punch of remaining optimistic and finding personal empowerment. Jack is a great reminder that a destructive or unpleasant force can still beget something beautiful.

On "obstacle or challenge" we have the dolphin tail, which can represents one's emotions. That makes sense to me with your tarot cards. Perspective is everything. Someone will always have it better than you, and someone will always have it worse than you. It takes hard work and more time than you might think to change your mindset, but mindset is everything when it comes to surviving life on this Earth. (Hell, it took me thirty years and a dark night of the soul to get there.) Try thinking about things in a different light, even if it feels weird or forced at first. Like anything, it becomes more natural with time and practice.

On the positive note, off the board, speaking to something you don't need to worry about, we have the hummingbirds charm. They're holding a heart between them, so for my non-single readers, this charm and its placement means your relationship will be going strong. It can be a pillar of support on which you can lean. For my single readers, this charm can foretell of an upcoming companionship. Or, hummingbirds can also symbolize joy or good fortune coming your way. Who isn't struck with a uplifting spritz of happiness when one flies around you?

Cancer

9 of Blades

Alistair was a formidable opponent for many reasons. Besides his predilection for physical torture, Alistair loved the mind games. He absolutely delighted in in telling Dean he technically triggered the apocalypse, and watching the subsequent emotional storm flash across his face. I'd ask you to look at ways in which you're currently your own Alistair; that is, ways you might be mentally or emotionally torturing yourself, or feel tortured by your own mind. This concept might express itself as your "inner saboteur," as RuPaul calls it. It also might manifest as hardcore anxiety, nightmares, or stress. Some people don't even realize they have anxiety, but they might feel a strong sense of urgency and impatience all day for seemingly no real reason. It's time to find ways to unscrew the tightly wound coil in your mind and/or body and relax. You can't fill from an empty cup. Tend to yourself before others at this time.

Let's start with the charm off the board, representing something you don't currently need to stress about. The little shell can symbolize your home life. I also heard "divine feminine," and shells can symbolize fertility and birth, so if you're currently having fertility issues, I believe spirit is saying that's not something you need to worry about at this moment. (I know that's a hard subject for many. I apologize if it's a delicate thing to bring up.) Going down to the left corner, we have the antlers on the "soon" square. Stags and bulls (male elks) shed their antlers every year, which means they grow a new set every year. How staggering is that! (No pun intended.) The antlers here tell me you're shedding the old to make way for your rapid new growth. It's a lovely message to get.

Interestingly, we have another animal on the board known for shedding the old, the snake. The snake can represent deceit or false assumptions, and it can also represent healing. I think through this process of growth you'll be shedding old, limiting beliefs you once had about yourself. So many beliefs about ourselves are imposed upon us when we're young, and we end up subconsciously adopting them in such a profound way. These false beliefs can become part of our core identities. It can be a real challenge to change that, and it takes a hell of a lot of inner work over time, but I think at this moment you're really poised to take that on. Best of luck to you, Cancer.

Leo

10 of Blades

The tens mark the ending of a chapter. This card can symbolize a well-laid plan not turning out how one hopes, often to bitter disappointment. The guidance here is to stay on your toes, because something unexpected might be coming. Things might not unfold how you envisioned, as there could be flaws in the plan you're not quite seeing. (Our Winchester boys always have a plan, and god bless them but they are almost always flawed.) Fate might have something else in mind for you.

Let's start with the dolphin tail on the "obstacle or challenge" square. This charm represents your emotions, so it's telling me self-mastery over your own emotions is going to be key for a good mindset going forward. Resting on the "dive deeper" square we have the snake, which in this case I believe represents false assumptions. As demonstrated by your tarot card, assumptions are not really the name of the game for you right now. This includes assumptions about yourself and your abilities. Remain open to new possibilities. Remain open to good things happening in your future.

To that point, we have the little lovebirds charm on your "love & family" square. For my single readers, a new partnership could be on the horizon. For my taken readers, this could represent a strengthening of your current relationship. In any interpretation this heralds a positive, supportive energy coming in for you. Finally, we have the spider web just peeking over the edge of the "finances + career" sector. No worries necessary on that front. New opportunities are being created for you.

Virgo

8 of Bones

(The bones is this deck replace the suit of wands in a traditional tarot.) This card advises you to go with the flow and embrace the change coming your way. Remember that some changes are inevitable; they're on your path for your highest good, in the end. Not fighting the process makes way for even more new opportunities in your future.

Just two charms for my Virgo friends! Resting on "a lesson you have to learn" we have the dolphin tail, which represents emotions. I believe this is talking about mastery over your emotions. Acknowledging and honoring them, but not letting them run the show. Off the board we have the eye, which can represent your intuition, or it can point to the future. If you follow your intuition when making decisions, you have nothing to worry about. (I know "follow your intuition" might be annoying advice for some, because sometimes it's hard to figure out what the hell your intuition is telling you. Times of solitude and silence help with this. Ask your spirit guides for a sign if you need one. Be as specific as you'd like in this request. They're always happy to help.)

Libra

9 of Bones reversed

(The bones in this deck replace the suit of wands in the traditional tarot.) Here we have the archangel Raphael, seated but confident, in his power. In his bid to win the rule of heaven he becomes burdened by the many responsibilities he has taken on. In what ways are you currently feeling burdened and unsupported by others? When the overwhelm overtakes you, it's time to prioritize. Start with what's most important. Remember that you are exceptionally capable.

Four charms for you, Libra! Let's start with the pegasus, on "a lesson you're meant to learn." YOU are magic. The magic comes from you. You need to come to terms with you capacity to do amazing things, including manifesting. Remember that you are the co-creator of your own universe. To that end, let's go to the mermaid. She represents your conscious mind, and she's squarely on the "dive deeper" square. Spirit is wanting you to engage in some inner work, to come to know yourself more deeply. That's how you unleash a lot of your magic, it comes after the shadow work. Interestingly, we also have a charm which can represent your subconscious mind, the moon. Asking for help can benefit you on your quest to change negative subconscious programming, which is a natural next step after you feel you've come to know your conscious mind well. That shit can be hardwired in there. There's no shame in asking for help, whether that be a mentor, a spiritual leader, a therapist, your angels, etc.

Finally, off in the corner, we have the scorpion, representing defensiveness or self-protection. Learning ways to protect your energy while you're on this journey of inner work will be crucial for you. Shadow work can be exhausting, so the last thing you need is an energy vampire to feed on you while you're in that position. If you don't have any protective measures in practice at all at the moment, finding some that work for you can make a huge difference in your daily life, especially for those who are sensitive or empathic.

Scorpio

6 of Pentagrams

(The pentagrams in this deck correspond with the suit of pentacles in a traditional deck.) This card is about flow and balance when it comes to your finances. Equivalent exchange. If you find yourself quite blessed recently, consider donating to a charitable venture, or being charitable to someone in need in your life. If you find yourself giving more than receiving recently, don't be ashamed to ask for help. Often those who give profoundly have trouble simply receiving, but it's completely okay to accept without giving something in return. Just as you enjoy giving, others do as well. Let yourself be the recipient for once.

Wow, lots of charms for Scorpio today! Let's go over them one by one. On "manifest this" we have the scorpion, symbolizing self-protection. Developing some spiritual protection habits will help you on your journey, especially if you're sensitive, psychic, or empathic. Your energy is a gift and it's not for everyone. Linked to that concept we have the mushroom pointing towards "self-care," which represents grounding. In my experience, psychic protection + grounding practices has helped so much with emotional balance. It helps us be far less influenced by outside energies. We need psychic hygiene just as much as we need physical hygiene to maintain health.

On "finances & career" we have the little jaguar head. This charm can represent divine femininity, of which big cats in general are the symbol, but I think in this case this is about using one the big cats as a power animal in your work sphere. They embody strength, confidence in their movements, and calculated risks. That's the energy you should channel this week. To build on that, we have the frog on "follow your intuition." Be adaptable and resourceful in the moment. Sometimes we realize in the moment we need to pivot. Trust that sense. A well-laid plan can often go awry.

Next let's talk about the bee on "obstacle or challenge." The bee can symbolize community, as they live in hives. It can also represent hard work, as they are industrious little creatures. I think this is a warning not to overwork yourself, as ambitious as Scorpios are. Rest and self-care is productive, in spite of what our work-obsessed culture teaches us to believe. To finish on a positive note, the rabbit rests on "health & wellbeing." Rabbits are symbols of fertility and good luck, so I'd say all is well in your health sphere. Make sure to keep that work-life balance, my friend.

Sagittarius

8 of Pentagrams reversed

(The pentagrams in this deck replace the suit of pentacles in a traditional deck.) Ah, Jo. Hardworking. Earnest. Gone too soon. She (unfortunately) is a great example of how you're not always aware how much or how little time you might have left on this Earth. This card urges you to look at how you're spending your time. If you're hitting a wall when it comes to your goals, putting a lot of energy into something and not getting your desired results, it's time to rethink. After doing something, ask yourself if you feel renewed or if you feel drained. Do more of the former, and fewer of the latter.

A very positive casting for you, Sagittarius! Off the board, indicating things about you don't need to worry about, we have the bee and the sun. In the context, I believe the bee to represent hard work and the sun to represent success and manifestation. Things will go well for you on that front! Your manifestations are closer than ever to coming to fruition. Continuing that positivity we have the hummingbird couple resting on "opportunity or blessing." For my single readers, that indicates a potential new companion entering your life. For my taken readers, this signifies all is going well within your relationship. Make sure to show your partner you know how much of a blessing they are in your life. Everyone needs the reminder now and again.

Next, on "dive deeper" we have the crow, symbolizing cleverness. You should dive deeper into your own abilities, whatever they may be. You possess a reservoir of untapped potential. Don't be concerned with instantly monetizing it or finding a way to be "productive" about it. You have all that you need of that in other spheres of your life. This is more about personal, emotional enrichment. To that end, we have the leaf on "something you don't see." This charm really wanted to come out for you. Leaves symbolize new growth. Diving deeper into these areas of untapped potential can lead to wonderful new growth, which in turn leads to greater self-esteem and greater feelings of fulfillment. What do you have to lose?

Capricorn

The Ace of Blades

(The blades in this deck replace the suit of swords in a traditional tarot deck.) There's no better blade to represent the ace than the First Blade. This is a card of sudden ideas, breakthroughs, decisive action, and the exertion of personal power. The ace of blades encourages us to use our tools, skills, and power wisely. I always think of that lovely Faramir quote from The Two Towers, "I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend." To what end will you wield your sword?

Off the board we have the jaguar head, which can indicate divine femininity. Interestingly, big cats also embody several characteristics of the ace of swords, such as personal strength and decisive movements. This charm contrasts with the sun, which can represent masculine energy, that we have in the "obstacle or challenge" square. I'm reading this pair as your feminine and masculine energies being out of balance. No matter which gender you identify as, we all have both masculine and feminine energies within us. Yin and yang. The masculine gives, and the feminine receives. Both are creators in different ways. When these are out of balance they can affect us emotionally and physically, such as through burnout, spaciness, or irritability, among other things. Find activities that spark joy, calm your nervous system, and make you excited for the future. Don't forget to take care of your physical body in the process.

The bat charm, symbolizing rebirth, is pretty squarely between "obstacle or challenge" and "lesson you're meant to learn." Are you afraid of change? I think a lot of us are, but it's good to remember not all change is bad. Each person has a few of these significant rebirth moments along their path. Don't fight it, lean into it. It'll go much better for you.

Aquarius

8 of Pentagrams

(The pentagrams in this deck replace the suit of pentacles in a traditional deck.) This card came up for Sagittarius too, but in reverse. For me, this card represents consistent, honest, hard work leading to results. Jo Harvelle is a great example of this attitude. Don't let others deter you from your path. What is meant for you in the end will find you. She was always meant to be a hunter. Follow your passions with determination and hard work, just like Jo. (Don't worry, it'll end better for you than it did for her. This show just loves to kill off its strong female characters.)

Okie dokie, Aquarius, let's start with the antlers, which I feel tie in perfectly with your tarot card. Antlers, as they're grown anew every year, symbolize rapid growth. I believe you're meant to work on personal enrichment and growth of your passions at this time. I think that'll start in earnest for you a month from now. To that end, we have the book resting on "opportunity or blessing." New knowledge or wisdom you gain on this journey of personal growth will end up being so beneficial to you. There are things I've read or learned on my own path of spiritual growth that have completely changed how I view this life, in the most positive way. Part of what you're meant to learn is how to tame your subconscious mind, indicated by the mermaid on the "lesson you're meant to learn" square. Your conscious mind is so incredibly powerful. Thoughts shape our reality. It's part of your path to learn how to harness that power.

The last charm is the fire quartz heart on "health + well-being." I think this message is a bit of an aside. Fire quartz is another element in your reading that encourages balance. The hematite inclusions reminded me of blood vessels, so I would encourage you to pay attention to your heart health, especially for those with a family history of cardiac issues. The impact of a healthy diet and regular exercise is not to be underestimated.

Pisces

6 of Goblets

(The goblets in this deck are the equivalent to the suit of cups or chalices in a traditional deck.) This card is advising you to pursue more of what lights you up. It's encouraging you to have more fun! Life probably has been feeling a little heavy for you recently. Make time to bask in the small pleasures. Like Dean with a big ol' slice of pie. Life is meant to be enjoyed.

Three charms for my fellow Pisces! Let's start with the straightforward one, the snake. That charm represents false assumptions, and it's off the board so that means you don't need to worry about it. These assumptions could be coming from you or from others, but I'd encourage you to deal in certainties for the time being. Don't let the unfounded stuff get to you right now.

Next we have the button, symbolizing mending, and it's resting on the "focus on this" square. If you're like me, you're about tired of all the emotional healing that comes with putting yourself back together after adversity or trauma. But Spirit says we're not done yet. Do things that build your self-esteem and bring you joy, and get plenty of rest in between. As we see with our final charm, your future health and well-being will be impacted by the work you do on yourself now. It is absolutely worth it in the end.
